Happy St. Patricks Day 2010

Happy St Patrick's Day!
I love St Patricks day! It could be because Green is my favorite color..But I think its because I have many good memories on that day. My mom would always make us green food on St Patricks day. What ever it was that we were eating she would die it green. It was so fun! I also have many great memories of having corned beef can cabbage for dinner :) So very yummy especially made by my Grandma. It was also a favorite of my Papa! Now with my kids I find that I too am very excited about making there food green..and making a bug deal out of St. Patricks day! We had Mom to Mom on St Patricks day so I knew we were going to be eating something fast. So I dyed their oatmeal green!

The beginning stages of our kitchen Nook

We are so very excited that we are getting a custom corner kitchen nook built in our kitchen! We have the perfect corner for it! And we will be able to sit more people at the table. It will be a much better use of the space. The nook will have two benches that meet in the corner, a triangular table and a smaller bench on the opposite end. The benches will have storage inside of them :) A family friend is building it for us on the side so it may take a while, but we know it will be worth the wait. The other day he brought the frame over, just to make sure his drawings were correct, and make sure it fit the spot. Here are some pictures of the beginning of the building.

Another beautiful day at the Park

I absolutely love that my kids love to be around other kids. J is always asking when he will see his friends! I also love the beautiful weather we have been having here in Southern California! The park is such a great place to be with the kids!

Family Mammoth Trip 2010

Mammoth was extra beautiful this year will all the snow on the ground! One morning J announced "Look at that falling from the air". That was his way of telling us it was snowing outside! We are so greatful to be able to experience mammoth with our family. Thanks to Mom and Dennis who continue to host all us kids and grandkids! This year was a bit different because Joshua was unable to get the time off of work, so we really missed him. But I was really glad we went because the kids really enjoy being around the whole family, they also love playing with their cousin Wren, and I really wanted J to go to ski school.

Fun with Friends

The other day we were watching the Grable boys Tanner and Griffin. Our kids really enjoy their friends! It was a beautiful day . We took them all to the park for lunch and play time.

Fun in the Snow!

With all the Rain lately we have also had a good amount of fresh snow in our local mountains! This has been a blast for us and the kids! J just loves the snow, and absolutely loves sledding, and throwing snow balls! Janna likes eating the snow, and we will sled a bit! Here are some pics of our trip up to Mt. Baldy.

Joshua has a great memory of his third Grade teacher(Dr. Lauder), and he keeps in touch with her. She also taught his mom. She owns a cabin in Lake arrowhead and she invited us up there to enjoy the snow with her. It was a nice time to getaway for a few days. It was so beautiful! We had a blast!
