A Love for Fall

I really enjoy Fall! I think its the crisp breeze in the air even though the sun is still out. It probably has a whole lot to do with the colors of fall! They are all my favorites! I really just enjoy the season! We have made it a tradition to go to Oak Glen as a family every fall! The kids really enjoy it, and so do we! This year my Mom and Dennis joined us! It was a beautiful day!

Meeting Jinjer

Joshua and I a really wanted to get the kids a dog for Christmas. We started doing research and looking a little early because we did not want the decision to be rushed. We ended up adopting Jinjer. Really it happened sooner than we originally were planning...but we know that she is the perfect dog for our family. We adopted her in from a family with 3 kids, the husband was in the marines and was being shipped out. Jinjer was 8 months old when we adopted her. She is a chocolate lab/weimaraner mix. She spent some time with our friend Trevor, who knows how to train dogs well.

We ended up getting her way before Christmas...but it all worked out and we have really been enjoying her these lase few months. She is great with the kids. She really enjoys hiking with us, and being out doors! She brings me back to my child hood. I have many great memories with Winnie and Nike. Our prayer is that Jinjer is part of our family for a very long time. We hope that our children also are able to build memories with her. Below are pictures of when the kids met her for the first time! They had no idea we were getting a dog, it was a surprise.

Halloween 2010

We went with a bug theme this year for Halloween. Joshua Wayne was Spider-man, Janna Rose was a lady bug, and Jadyn Elizabeth was a bumble bee! It was so fun to watch the kids be so excited about their costumes. Janna really enjoyed saying what everyone was!
The girls before we went trick or treating.

Meeting Savannah Gayle DeHaan

At the end of September I was blessed with the opportunity to fly to Boseman, Montana to visit my best friend Christine, and to meet her sweet baby Girl Savannah Gayle!

Savannah was born August 19th 2010

She was about 6 weeks when I met her! She is so perfect and precious! It was so great to see Christine and her husband Jason in this new chapter of their lives! Parenthood! They are already excellent parents! Christine is such a natural Mommy! Savannah is so blessed to have parents like them. I will let the picture tell about my trip!

We started the tradition of decorating their door ways their Birthday Morning. Here is Janna walking out of her room after she woke up! Good morning Birthday girl!

We spent the morning with our friends Melissa, Shaheen and their son Lincoln. We went to Pudding stone to feed the ducks all the left over crust from the sandwiches from Janna's Party. It was pretty warm out, but the kids had a blast!

Turning 2 Under the sea

Our Sweet Janna Rose turned two back in August.
We chose to have a Under the Sea birthday party. She really loves all kinds of animals, but she is especially fond of fish! She loves Fish crackers, loves Nemo, and loves to look at sea animals in books. Also one of her favorite words to say is "Bubbles". When she says this it can mean a whole lot of different things. It is the word she uses for actual bubbles. But it is also the word she uses for Flowers, water, ocean, puddles, and anything else she does not know.

We had her party at a local park that had a splash pad. We invited all her favorite buddies, and they all splashed around and had a great time. We also made Sea animal sun catchers, ate yummy lunch, and had yummy cupcakes.

It was a beautiful day spent with great friends and family celebrating Janna.
