J's first day of preschool

At the end of August Joshua Wayne started pre-school! He loves it! He comes home every day and tells us everything he loves about it. He loves to learn, and he loves to be with other kids. His teacher says he is very well behaved, and is a good listener. We are so proud of him, and we are so glad that he enjoys it so much. His favorite time a school is share time! He likes to talk in front of everyone! Here are some pictures of his first day. He was no nervous at all. He got it there, and we had to squeeze a hug and goodbye out of him because he was already so into his classroom and eager to be with the rest of the kids.

Hiking with the Blair Family

Back in August we had a great day of hiking with the Blair Family! We decided to hike to Stutervant Falls. This hike is out of Chantry Flats! We were blessed to be able to hike there before all the fires. I beleive the trails we were on were affected by the fires and now need to be re built. This was a 3.7 mile hike, and Joshua Wayne did the whole thing. Janna Rose got to ride on Daddy's back! Our little friends James Blair, and Ethan Fahey also hiked it. We were so proud of them!

The long hike is very much worth the view at the end. It ends at a water hole with water fall! J loves water so he was very excited! Joshua took all the boys up to the water fall to get a closer look.

A day at the LA Zoo

We also spent a day at the LA Zoo this summer! It was great fun! A friend of ours was able to get us back stage to the bird show! Very cool! We enjoyed the day with our friends Melissa, Shaheen and Lincoln. We did not get too many pics, I guess we were busy having so much fun! Both of the kiddos loved seeing the animals! We know we will have many more trips to the Zoo in our future!

Mommy holding a huge bird. Daddy did it too but we did not get a pic :(

Daddy and Janna looking at the Gorillas. It was so cute Janna was blowing kisses at them, and they would return one to her!

Great Day! Great Friends! Great Fun! Very Blessed!

Camping at Mc Grath state beach

This Summer we had the opportunity to go camping at Mc Grath State beach. This beach is on the coast near Ventura harbor! It was so beautiful! This was the first time we went camping as a family where we were in charge of all the planning. Joshua really enjoyed it! He liked being in charge. He planned all the camp meals, made lists, and made sure we had all we needed for the 4 days we were there. He did a great job! And he made some yummy food. Joshua's grandma also joined us and she really enjoyed her time. The kids both love camping, and being out doors. Janna does not mind the dirt at all! She loves to be doing whatever her big brother is doing. Check out the pics!

Joshua Waynes 1st Overnight backpacking Trip

Joshua took J on his first overnight backpacking trip. They joined up with our friend Jeff Grable, and two of his boys Cadyn, and Griffin. What an experience! This was a pretty long hike for the boys, but everyone made it, and they had fun. They hiked from Chantry Flats to Hoegees camp ground, stayed the night, and then hiked back.

Let the pictures tell the story...Joshua is not in any pictures because
he was the camera guy....but he was there!

Vacation Bible School

This year we were so excited to participate in Vacation Bible School at our Church

I Volunteered and helped run the snack booth, and J got to participate with the 3 yr olds. Janna did well in the nursery, and she too enjoyed herself.

This year the theme of VBS was Find your super hero within.
The theme verse was "For God did not give a spiritof fear, but of power, love and self-control." 2Timothy 1:7

We all had a great time. J learned a lot, and had a bunch of fun! He especially liked the music, and he loved dancing to the worship songs.

This is our Church Sanctuary Transformed for VBS!

Still jumping! All the canned goods were collected throughout the week for those in need.
I was a little worried he might knock them down, but he didn't.

Joshua Wayne at Swim Lessons

Joshua was so excited for swim lessons. He really enjoyed his time and looked forward to it everyday. He really liked his swim instructor "Chad". He even prayed for Chad at night. He learned a lot of great skills this year, that have given him more confidence in the water.

J waiting his turn.

Swimming with Chad

He loves the water!

Everyday they would end class by going on a "Safari". They would all travel around the pool with a noodle wrapped around them and they would imagine they were looking for animals. It was very cute to see, and J loved it.

The Fourth of July

This is how we celebrated our Fourth of July :)
We start the day off with a 5k walk/Run in Claremont with the Family.

J ran the 1k, he was so proud when he finished!

The kiddos in the stroller ready to go for the 5k, I did not run I walked with speed :)

Here we all are, the group of athletes who participaited. Joshua was unable to participate he had just came home from working a grave yard shift...we missed him.
