Christmas cards/ Letters

I find myself anxiously awaiting the mail carrier during this season!
I just love getting Christmas cards, letters, and pictures!
There are a few reasons I really love this!

1) I love getting mail that is not bills! The reality is that most mail we get is junk mail or Bills! With technology these days we do not get snail mail! We get emails, evites, message posts, and status updates. I really miss getting mail!

2) Most of the Christmas cards we receive are from people we see on a regular basis, but I love getting a picture of them because I don't always have one.

3) I also love to see how everyone does it. some might send cards with nice works, some pictures, some letters. I love to see the creativity that is put into it! It is a great reminder of how God has created us all uniquely! With our own creative ways! Its amazing to see all the different ways to recap someone on your past year!

4) The biggest reason I love getting Christmas Cards is that I get to see and read how Christ is working in everyones lives! It is a reminder of how our God is alive and working daily in our lives!

Thank you all for sharing! Your cards have truly blessed me!
Here is our Christmas card and letter if you did not receive it.

Merry Christmas!
May CHRIST be the center of your CHRISTmas!

Sorry this is a picture of the picture..not too clear

If you click the letter it will enlarge so you can read it.

Christmas Card Picture Photo Shoot

Every time we take pictures we usually have some one missing! Usually its Daddy cause he is taking the picture. For our Christmas Photo Card we asked our close friend Melissa and Shaheen to meet us at one of our favorite hiking spots to take some family pictures. We were also able to take a few of them and their adorable family! It was a great morning, out in God beautiful creation! Enjoy the pics!

Jadyn Elizabeth is 1yr old

One year ago we were blessed with a sweet baby girl Jadyn Elizabeth. She was born on her Great Grandmas Birthday November 30th 2009.

When discovering I was pregnant with sweet Jadyn I was not too thrilled! To be honest I cried! Janna was only 6 months old, and I was not ready to give up my Body again. I also just thought that was way too soon to have another child! But even though I was not sure about the idea...I knew God was and that was what mattered. He knew what he was doing!

On November 30th 2009 we had a beautiful little healthy baby girl! This last year has been so amazing getting to know her! She is like a ray of sunshine who brightens all of our days. She is so sweet and snugly. She is very small, but she has a huge heart and a huge personality. Her siblings are head over heals in love with her, and she too has a great love for them! Really she has been the perfect addition to our family, and we could not imagine life with out her!

Great Grandma came for dinner, and we had cake a little too late. Jadyn was ready for bed and only wanted mommy to hold her. We tried to get a nice picture with great grandma.

Give thanks and Give and Give

As Thanksgiving came upon us this year we were reflecting on all the blessing we have and all that we are thankful for. We were also reflecting and praying about how we can give to those in need. We live a pretty tight budget and often times feel like we can not give much. We do think it is very important to give especially of your time, and also of goods, and services to help meet needs of people in the community. We also really want to teach our children to do the same.

My Mom works for the LA mission and every year they close down a street serve Thanksgiving meal to those whom don't have a home. They also wash their feet, and give them a brand new pair of shoes and socks. My mom had invited us to come and just see and observe. I had always been hesitant because of the kids. I thought this year we would just come for a bit towards the end..to support my Mom in what she does. When we arrived..Joshua dropped me and J off..then he took the girls to go find parking. J and I went right over the the foot washing tent wear my mom was. I askes "Mom hows it going". She said "Its going good, but we need more foot washers, the others have gone to lunch". I was not planning on washing feet at all! But at that moment I said I will do it! There was a need, and I was there. So I got down on my knees and stared washing feet. My Son Joshua stood right behind me and just watched. I washed feet for about 30min, and then everyone was done. I was so glad that I did it. You might wonder was it gross? Yes it was...but in that moment it did no matter at all! It did not even phase me really. J had so many questions afterward. He knew that we were helping and serving people that were in need. He knows that Jesus calls us to do this, and that he did it while he was on earth. It was such a great conversation to have with my son!

Another opportunity we had was through Redeemed riders. Redeemed Riders is the Motorcycle ministry Joshua is a part of. I also attend when I can. This year they were taking volunteers to adopt a family in need, and to provide them with a Thanksgiving meal. The turkeys were donated, but all the other fixings needed to be provided. Again it was so great to shop with the kids and talk about the food we were buying and who the food would be going to. The Sunday before Thanksgiving all the riders got together and delivered all the meals, and prayed for each family. These meals went to people in the community who had a need.

Below are pictures of the meals and prayer time with families.

Jadyns Dedication

We had a beautiful day Dedicating Jadyn to the Lord! Really its a parent dedication! It is when we commit to raising her up to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! This is something we pray for daily for our children. It is something we strive for all day every day in our home. The best part is we are not in this alone. We have Gods guidance! We also have Family, Friends, and our church family to gather around and help make this happen! Thank you to all who invest in our lives, you know who you are! We truly love you! And we feel very blessed!

It was a beautiful day!
